What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels and scripts, work in a comparable way. First-party cookies are set by Rerace itself, while third-party cookies are set by other services, such as analytics and advertising providers or embedded players.

The categories we use

• Strictly necessary and local storage. Rerace uses your browser’s local storage to remember your cookie choices and preferences such as your temperature unit. Our hosting provider may also set essential cookies for security and to protect the site from abuse. The site cannot work properly without them.
• Analytics. Our analytics service sets cookies to count visits and understand how the site is used. These cookies can last for up to two years.
• Advertising. Our advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to deliver the ads that fund Rerace, including pop-under, social bar, native and banner formats. They help limit how often you see the same ad, measure performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, personalise ads.
• Third-party embeds. Stream players are loaded from third-party providers and may set their own cookies or use similar technologies, including for their own advertising. Rerace does not control these, and they are governed by the providers’ own policies.

Advertising and analytics for every visitor

Rerace is free because it is funded by advertising, so analytics and advertising cookies are used for every visitor. Rerace does not show a cookie banner. If you do not want these cookies, you can block or delete them in your browser or with a content blocker; some parts of the site, including embedded players, may then not work as intended.

How to manage cookies

• Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data, including local storage. Look in your browser’s privacy or settings menu for these options.
• Opt-out tools. Many browsers and extensions let you block analytics and interest-based advertising. Your browser’s help pages explain the options available to you.

If you block or delete all cookies and site data, Rerace will forget your preferences, such as your temperature unit. Some embedded players may also stop working.

Changes to this policy
