How Rerace works

Rerace does not host, upload or store any video files or streams. The site indexes and embeds content made available by independent third-party providers, whose players load directly from their own servers.

Removing a listing or embed from Rerace does not remove the content from the provider that hosts it. To have the content taken down at its source, please also contact the hosting provider directly.

How to submit a notice

Email your notice to help@rerace.net with “DMCA notice” in the subject line. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), it must include:

• a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorised to act on their behalf;
• identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed or, if one notice covers several works, a representative list of those works;
• identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the exact Rerace URL or URLs where it appears, with enough information for us to locate it;
• your contact details, including your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
• a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

We also accept notices from rights holders outside the United States. Please include equivalent information so that we can identify you, the work and the material concerned.

What happens next

We review every notice we receive. When a notice is valid, we promptly remove or disable access to the listed material. If a notice is incomplete, we may contact you for more information before acting.

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to help@rerace.net. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), it must include:

• your physical or electronic signature;
• identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before it was removed or disabled;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
• your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Rerace may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.

We may forward a valid counter-notice to the person who submitted the original notice. Unless they tell us that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

Rerace has no user accounts, but where a stream provider or source is the subject of repeated valid notices, we will, in appropriate circumstances, stop listing and embedding content from that provider.

False or misleading notices

Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, including whether an exception such as fair use applies, consider seeking legal advice before sending a notice.
