Madring is the home of the Spanish Grand Prix, built around the IFEMA exhibition centre in the Barajas district of Madrid, Spain, close to Madrid-Barajas Airport. It hosted its first Formula 1 race in 2026, when the Spanish Grand Prix moved from Barcelona and Madrid returned to the calendar for the first time since Jarama in 1981. The circuit combines public roads with private land.
Designed by Jarno Zaffelli's firm Dromo, the 5.414 km lap packs in 22 corners, dramatic elevation changes and fast straights. Its signature feature is Turn 12, La Monumental, a semicircular banked curve around half a kilometre long, described by Formula 1 as the longest banked turn on the calendar and overlooked by a grandstand holding around 45,000 fans.

What to watch for: Drivers criticised the lack of overtaking after the first race here, so qualifying position counts, with the long main straight into Turn 1 the key passing opportunity.
