Pierre Gasly is a French driver from Rouen in Normandy who won the 2013 Formula Renault Eurocup and, with Prema, the 2016 GP2 Series, then missed the 2017 Super Formula title in Japan by half a point. He made his Formula 1 debut with Toro Rosso in Malaysia that year and was promoted to Red Bull Racing for 2019, only to be moved back to Toro Rosso after 12 races.
Gasly responded with second place in Brazil later in 2019 and, a year later, won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza for AlphaTauri, as Toro Rosso had been renamed. After another podium in Baku in 2021 he moved to Alpine for 2023, and he has since finished third for the Enstone team at the 2023 Dutch and 2024 São Paulo Grands Prix.
