Alpine is the Renault Group's Formula 1 team, named after the French sports car brand and based in Enstone, Oxfordshire. Its lineage dates back to Toleman, which entered the world championship in 1981, and continued through Benetton, Renault, Lotus and Renault again before the Alpine name arrived in 2021. The Enstone squad won the 1995 constructors' title as Benetton and the drivers' and constructors' doubles of 2005 and 2006 as Renault.
Racing as Alpine, the team won the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix with Esteban Ocon, finished fourth in the 2022 constructors' standings and took second and third places at the 2024 São Paulo Grand Prix. Renault closed its engine programme at Viry-Châtillon after the 2025 season, so Alpine races with Mercedes power units from 2026.
